Your journey so far

My passion for photography blossomed in high school, where I constantly carried my point-and-shoot camera, capturing candid moments of family and friends. This amateur enthusiasm led me to pursue a Visual Arts degree with a major in photography. However, during my final year, I had an important realization – my interest lay not in taking photos, but in working with them in other ways.

After completing my four-year degree, I landed my first major role at Famous, an Australian celebrity magazine (now defunct). There, I was responsible for curating paparazzi photographs, sifting through over 100,000 images daily to select the perfect shots for each magazine spread. This experience paved the way for positions at several photo agencies.

My career then took me to London, where I transitioned into Influencer Marketing – a perfect fit given my fascination with Instagram at the time. When COVID hit, my husband and I relocated back to Sydney, where a friend's connection led me to Creatively Squared, where I've been working ever since.

Your role at Creatively Squared

There are two aspects of my work that I particularly enjoy. The first is the privilege of reviewing and absorbing such vast amounts of creative content. It's truly an honor to witness firsthand the dedication and craftsmanship that goes into content creation. I'm consistently amazed by the stunning photography and videography I encounter – this daily immersion in beautiful visual content is one of the most rewarding parts of my role.

The second is the relationship building, especially with creators. I deeply value the opportunity to collaborate regularly with incredibly talented creatives, learning about their lives and cultures along the way.

Your superpower

Having always seen creative qualities within myself, I believe I have great attention to detail and can regularly envision what will work creatively, being able see the finished picture before assets are completed. I excel at understanding the desired output for client briefs, being able to make recommendations for what works best for each brand. Internally, I love mentoring and guiding other team members, helping solve issues when they arise.

Creatively Squared highlights

One of my most memorable experiences at Creatively Squared involved several babycare projects for Huggies, where we collaborated with new creators from various regions. This project was particularly meaningful as it showcased the power of effective teamwork. Our post-production team worked tirelessly to provide clear guidance and support to these emerging creators, helping them realize their full potential.

It was incredibly rewarding to witness the creators' photography skills develop throughout the project, with their work quality improving dramatically over time. The entire journey was truly a privilege to be part of.

Hobbies and interests

Before becoming a mother just over a year ago, I was an avid traveler, having explored nearly 65 countries. Latin America held a special place in my heart as my favorite continent, and my passion for discovering new places seemed limitless.

Life has taken on a gentler pace now. While I still maintain my love for good food, we've shifted from dining out to creating meals at home – largely due to the realities of child bedtime routines! Being a summer-born soul, you'll often find me at one of Sydney's beautiful beaches, and I'm always happy to join the girls for a leisurely lunch with wine.
