Savouring every shot: How creator Pedro captures many flavours of content for big brands

Meet Pedro Costa, a talented food and drink photographer hailing from the vibrant city of Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. As a long-time member of the Creatively Squared creator community, Pedro's culinary creativity quickly caught the eye of our account managers, leading to exciting projects with renowned brands like Mike's Hard Lemonade, Brutal Fruit and Lipton Iced Tea. Let’s chat with Pedro

Hey everyone, I’m Pedro from Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Photography has always been present in my life. When I was younger, I skateboarded and always took photos and videos of the session. After starting to work at an advertising agency, I bought my first camera. I started photographing gastronomy and that’s how my career began.

Today, my fave photography genre is definitely food and drink. This is the area where I stand out the most. I would describe my style as unique, vertical aesthetic.

Journey with Creatively Squared

I discovered Creatively Squared through Instagram, I followed their work and saw that everything made sense to me. The moment I joined their platform, I was sure it would be incredible to work together.

The Mike's Hard Lemonade - Occasions Latam project was the most incredible and challenging. Bringing people together in a beautiful place with good light, living the brand experience was incredible, I loved this project!

Tools of the Trade

My tools are camera, lenses, tripod, light, accessories and editing programs.

I love shooting outdoors with people and with controlled light in restaurants. Other times, I shoot at home or an Airbnb.

Pedro’s creative process

I’m a one-man team, and whenever I have a photoshoot, I often write a script with references and I also end up improvising on the spot too.

Every time I want to get into the creative zone, I always look for references. When I start a project or when I have a creative block, I look for websites and images that match the project, as well as creators on Instagram
